I really want them to spoof the McDonalds commercial.
Guy1: Hey! Did you hear that McDonalds is selling Gourmet coffee again!?
Guy2: NO! Wow, I can grow out my mullet!
Guy1: Yeah! I can start wearing my buffet pants too! (shows man put on ‘busy’ ‘hammer’ pants)
Guy2: I almost read a book the other day!!!!(relieved)
Guy1: DON’T! I don’t even know how to read! (proudly)
Guy2: Well, what are we going to do about this?(camera pans to his legs with fishnets and stiletto’s)
Guy1: Don’t worry, they have a drive through-we could gain 40lbs and no one would even notice!
Guy2: yeah! It’s like getting back IN the closet!

I am so sick of those commercials portrayal of ‘coffee culture’. They are making it out like people who sit in coffee shops are fake jerks. Yes. I did already try to submit this. haha. You can view the women’s version over at feministing.com, then write McDonald’s to tell them what you think. I don’t think they are mocking starbucks per se, but just coffee culture and the intelligence that comes out of it as a whole. Besides, if you’ve even TRIED a McDonald’s coffee, it actually makes Starbucks sound really delicious… which is very difficult to accomplish.
