You may have noticed that I sold out of all my jewelry! Never fear, while switching servers and fervently working on better features for MermadeBaubles.com I was making tons of new necklaces to adorn yourself with. I think I am subconsciously procrastinating on putting them up because I want them for myself! As always, if there are any custom requests, please feel free to email me.
I made some banana cake & muffins yesterday with the kids and made butter cream frosting. At some point, when this week is starting to bore me, I will bake some gingerbread cookies with them & use the left over frosting. I am making the edible kind. I wanted to make the decorative kind, but I have come to realize that I don’t necessarily enjoy baking as much as I had thought. I have some left over Halloween Hannah Montana edible candy bracelets that will make for nice decorations & I bought some mini m&m’s & today we bought a cheap rolling pin and a bag of spice drops. Should be fun. We also rented like 8 movies because they where a 1$ apiece for five days & with the next storm rolling in late tomorrow afternoon, we will likely be bored.
I mailed out all my Christmas cards finally. The kids and I made a total of 3 ornaments-which where fun, but as I discover things about myself, 3 is my limit for ornament making. They where kind of involved, but only in the way that we had to wait overnight several times for the glue to dry. Not unlike waiting for the phone to ring, or the pot to boil. I just found about 3 of Trinity’s Kindergarten ornaments tucked away under my bed tonight. Jonas made his first school ornament, but it only really consisted in rolling a shatter resistant ball in some glitter-which I am not sure if they used glue or not because when I took it out of the bag he decorated for us with rubber stamps-glitter went everywhere!
Last night we had a pretty impressive lightening show. Very bright in the windows, and obviously close enough to rumble loudly. Josh finished Trinity’s dollhouse today. I will admit that when attempting to adhere to a budget, one should not buy a dollhouse kit. It doubled in cost after all the paint, glue, sandpaper, varnish, brushes, wallpaper, tape, hinges etc. Regardless, it is a kickass gift. I am so happy he did it for her. She is going to LOVE it. I can’t wait to go to the fabric store and get scraps to make tiny table cloths, curtains & clothes with her. It also has window boxes so we HAVE to get some tiny flowers for them. I am so glad I got me her this gift.
We visited Santa on the 14th with my Mother in Law and her Fiancé. We had lunch and the kids where treated to a mini train ride.

Great quality stuff.
